25.4 oz can canned 7/10/25 from the brewery twice into a nonick pint glass.
L: Pours black with a thick 1.5" dark khaki creamy pocked head, low carbo, head recedes to edge foam, light perforated lacing on back half.
S: Dark fruits, dates, plum, raisins, moist brown bread, caramelized malts, a hint of nuts.
T: Sweet dark fruits, plum, dates chocolate, a note of darkly toasted grain char, a drop of molasses, a hint of rye, toffee, lightly nutty, cocoa in the lingering finish. Starts sweet, ends more bitter. It is gently rich and there's light alcohol with warming.
F: Smooth medium-heavy bodied mouthfeel with a medium-long lightly dry finish.
O: A lovely and slightly complex beer that is full-flavored, darkly roasted and deep tasting. It has excellent balance and has a brilliant bittersweet nature. Extremely pleasant drinking. It is outstanding in its style.
