16 oz can dated 7/7/17. Poured into Behind the Veil glass and let warm.
L: 1F tan head with pretty good retention, leaves a cap and ring, but no lacing. Beer is dark brown or black.
S: Chocolate, cocoa, cinnamon. Dairy, roasted malts, and a hint of chili.
T: Just about exactly the same as the nose, and in that order. Chili on the finish pops nicely, but not overbearing at all.
F: Medium body, just a little bit of carbonation. Solid construction and balance, not always easy with a chili-infused beer.
O: Whatever the level below BOMB! is, that's where this is. Very solid.

Brown in color with a bit of head that settled to a solid ring.
Nose is cocoa and spice with a bit malt.
Taste is similar - spicy peppers on the front followed by a nice sweet cocoa and cinnamon spice.
Mouthful is medium and perhaps a bit thin. Carbonation is average. Finish is semi sweet.
If the baseline for mexican inspired stouts (non ba) is Abraxas or Mexican brunch then this falls below the line. At the same time dont interpret this as bad or undrinkable, quite the opposite. This is a very nice stout which is enjoyable - good flavors throughout mixed with an ease of drinking.
