Update 7-5-2016: According to the brewery this was brewed in the J Wakefield style of berliner: intentionally less sour, but loaded with fruit.

The good: the color is an appetizing pastel lilac. The fruit flavor does not taste artificial, this tastes like real fruit. The fruit flavor is also potent, it isn't subtle and buried in the tartness, it is the predominant flavor. This is the most important part and what gives this tart future promise. Artificial fruit flavor cannot be overcome.

But, the tartness is very subtle. This is something that can be crushable all day because of that (and the low ABV), but I'd like more pucker from a berliner weiss. On a sourness scale from 0 to 10, where 3 is a westbrook gose and 10 is a cascade apricot, this is clocking in at about 0.5. I need this at at least a 2.
Also, the feel is juice box thin, watery. When I drink a de Garde or a New Glarus, i taste jam, jelly, preserves. I taste the crackling of the tannins, seeds of the berry. More body in the feel would give this that fruit spread feel i get from de Garde or New Glarus.

Would also like a stickier, longer finish which i think the extra body would help with.

Pours a white head dissipates quickly. Beer is a cloudy grapefruit pink color. Looks really nice.

Smell has a nice tart and funk smell. Mango note is a bit light but the raspberry has a moderate presence. It gives es it a slight tartness but also some fruity sweetness.

The taste is great. It's a nice balance between the fruity sweetness and sour tart notes. The result is nice grapefruit like taste with bits of mango and raspberry sweetness.

The feel is absolutely fantastic. It's light bodied with a smooth feel. Tingling carbonation makes it feel very crisp.

Overall, fantastic. Get it. It's a nice introduced to sours and great for the summer weather.

Pours a bright flamingo pink! Smell of raspberries and a sweet tartness. Flavor is full of raspberries, grapefruit, and as it warms up the mangos come through. Would be an excellent Berliner if it had a little more tartness!!!
