Notes
The beer is a nice very dark brown color that looks almost black. It also has a nice creamy texture to it that gives it a nice look.
The smell has a nice strong mocha cocoa smell that mixes well with a sweet lactose note that mixes with the chocolate to create a nice sweet milk chocolate smell.
The beer taste like milk chocolate with cocoa mixed into it. The lactose gives it a nice creamy taste as well in addition to helping create the milk chocolate note.
The beer is a bit medium bodied with a slight milky feel. The beer isn’t as heavy as others in the style and drinks like chocolate milk. The carbonation is fairly light but it gives a nice foamy texture to the beer which helps it.
A fairly unique milk stout and an interesting variation but nothing super fantastic. However, it’s still a good beer to have when it’s available and I really do recommend getting it. The beer is definitely solid and a great addition to the local scene.
