Appearance: Pours a pale goldenstraw with a light chill haze; the head doesn't hang around for long though it leaves plenty of splashy lacing while it lasts

Smell: Passionfruit with just a hint of mango; some tart wheat malt tones as well

Taste: Loads of lactic passionfruit at the outset, with the wheat malt flavors adding a tang, as well; just a touch of mango, through the middle; the finish is quite tart

Mouthfeel: Light body with prickly carbonation

Overall: A first class Berliner Weisse here, with a lot of pucker

Thanks to Drew

Pours a decent fizzy bubbly almost 1 finger head that fades at a fair pace, a bit of lacing, a semi hazy bright neon golden yellow beer

Nose some sour tart Berliner, bready doughy cracker malts, loads of raw dough and wheat, with some lemony tartness, acidity, loads of passion fruit, like a ton, with some mango notes in the background, but a ton of tart passion fruit, mango comes through more as it warms

Taste pretty tart, in fact actually quite sour, lemon sourness, fair acidity, mouth puckering, a bit of doughy bready wheat grain, raw bread dough but not a ton, then passion fruit, again a tart passion fruit but loads of it, fresh fleshy passion fruit as well as juice, my brain wants to bit into the seeds, with some mild mango in the background, which again increases as it warms, but again predominantly passion fruit. Dry flemmy acidic tart finish, lingering lemony passion fruit.

Mouth is med to lighter bod, quite tart and acidic, nice fizzy carb

Overall def a nice Berliner, not something I normally enjoy in the middle of winter, but very tasty nonetheless. I'd love some of these in the middle of a hot summer day.

Can (12/16 release)

Bright hazy yellow capped with a wispy pure-white head. Juicy fresh passion fruit, zesty citrus rind, low creamy mango, and a whiff of grain. Huge passion fruit yogurt and mango puree flavors with a bit of cereal lingering on the back end. The fruit comes across very naturally, avoiding any latex glove or syrupy qualities. Crisp, juicy, and tart. Delicious!

Received in a trade.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice slightly hazy straw hue with a thin white head that fades to leave very light wisps.

S - Aromas of passion fruit galore. Really smells like fresh passion fruit pieces inside a glass of passion fruit. There is a bit of malts and grain and with some heavy swirls some sweet juicy mango comes out, fresh smelling as well.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. Massive, massive massive musty passion fruit notes, very juicy. Then loads of crackery wheat followed by some excellent sweet overripe mango. Super bright and sweet and tropical. This may be the best representation of mango I have seen in a beer. There is none of the under ripe aspects or peel. Just loads of bright sweet tropical fruit with a lingering wheat finish. My goodness.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, clean with a light flemmy finish.

O - Overall this was an almost knee bucklingly delicious beer. Sure the appearance and mouthfeel are par for the course, and the nose is solid enough, the taste is just ridiculous. My goodness...are all Aslin's berliners like this??

The beer pours a nice bubbly white head that dissipates quickly and leaves nothing behind. The beer itself is a very good looking and clear pale straw color with a good golden hue.

The smell is absolutely fricking wonderful. It has a moderate tart note that contrasts extremely well with the powerful mango and light passion fruit.

The taste is pretty good but doesn't quite hold a candle to the smell. The taste has a much stronger tart note with hints of passion fruit and mango dancing around the edges and do not fully come out until the finish.

The feel is good. It is a light bodied beer with a very dry finish. The acidity is fairly strong to the point where it actually burns a little bit.

Overall, another fantastic berliner weisse from Aslin and worth every sip. I hope they make this one again.
