Possibly my least favorite release. Astringent sour notes. Puckering sourness that reminds me of acetaldehyde with its green apple and cidery flavor. Perhaps this is what is to be expected of the BW style?

Clearish dark straw from a crowler into two tekus. Head immediately dissipates - must be acidic. Nose is a bit strange, I get some butyric acid aromas, not good. Rubber, diaper, green apple, mixed with passion fruit. Taste is a bit better but still seriously flawed. Pretty tart but that rubber flavor dominates mingling with the guava. My wife thought it tasted like cider. A little bit sweet, almost as if this didn't fully attenuate and there was some acetaldehyde. Hope this was just a bad crowler, because there was something way off about this one for me. Hope to try another Berliner to see why they have gotten consistently high scores on here.

Pours a hazy golden color with a white head that dissipates. Smell is glorious - big passion fruit, big guava and smell is so fresh. Nice tart taste with fresh fruit all over. Incredible beer

Zero head but looks like I poured some kind of juice. Holy hell that smell. It's a fresher version of tropical skittles. Fresh juice. Sour, tart. This is nice. Flavors shine. Super tart and acidic on the tongue. Very impressed.

Like the gentleman below mentioned, slap de garde on this beer and anyone would be fooled. This beer has a combination of great tartness, fruit, and body for a 3.5% beer. Well done Aslin.

At brewery yesterday.
L) The color was cloudy straw.
A) Smell was tropical fruit, obviously passion fruit and guava. Slight effervescent sour.
T) Not super tart, maybe a little lemon. Sweeter than I was expecting.
F) Light and juicy. Not super carbonated.
Would be super refreshing on a hot day. A little too sweet for me otherwise.

More sour than their previous berliners, yet this is still loaded with fruit and super refreshing. If you slapped a de Garde label on this, I wouldn't be the wiser.
