On tap at brewery:
Pours pale yellow, cloudy as usual for the brewer. Decent creamy white head, light lacing.

Nose has a citrus note to it, brought about with a swirl. Tropical notes as well in this mainly fruity smelling beer, but there is a bitterness to the notes.

Taste starts a little citrusy, and turns a generic bitter, a little husk-like bitterness. I could almost think this is a Brett beer, but it gets towards the woodsy side, but doesn't quite get funky or tangy. A dry beer, it has a tiny pin prickliness to it to keep the dryness from being too overpowering.

This could be viewed as a saison or Belgian Pale or hybrid thereof with the feel. No big yeast presence. Relative to their other beers, this one is a letdown, but It comes from a lofty perch. Not bad, just not my cup of tea (not a Belgian pale fan, and it reminds me more of that than an APA).

Collaboration with Meridian Pint. Part of a flight on 9/15/16. Took some notes.

L: Not much head, does leave ring, light straw color
S: Strong tropical notes from Citra hops
T: Light tropical plus earthiness from Simcoe hops. Malts keep flavor profile low. Slightly bitter.
F: Light body, medium carbonation, crisp and good palate drying.
O: Generally a nice job on this APA.

On tap, pours a hazy lemon-gold. Big, dense white head leaves lots of lacing. Both smell and taste show a great combination of fruit and dank. Bready finish with moderate bitterness. Feel is smooth, creamy and full, especially impressive at this ABV. Tough to get this much flavor and substantial feel in a pale ale. I think they hit this one out of the park.
