Received in a trade.

A - Poured into a Duvel tulip a super murky dark golden milkshake hue with a one finger head that fades rather quickly to leave a thin halo and light wisps.

S - Aromas of big orange citrus notes with a little bit of pineapple as well. I do get a little bit of pine as well. There is a bit of alcohol on the nose and some malts.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. Big sweet oranges, valencia like, with some nice fruity pineapple. Not really tropical persay, just kind of there to balance out the juicy orange. There is a light pine notes as well. The malts are a touch on the heavier side but provide a nice backbone. Alcohol is hidden quite nicely.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, bit creamy as I assume they went for the...and I cringe saying this... "new england" style IPA. The main thumbs up here though is how nicely they hide the 9.1%.

O - Overall this was a rather nicely done DIPA. Fun blend of hops and I like how they did not use mosaic to add the pine notes. Thoroughly enjoyed.

The beer pours a light small bubbly white head that dissipates very quickly. The beer has an interesting look with an opaque lemon yellow with bits of orange hues in it.

The smell and taste are pretty good but the taste is definitely better than the smell. The smell has a fairly strong dry pine smell that covers the other notes such as pineapple and orange with a tiny hint of grapefruit. The taste has the same notes but the pine is actually the weaker one compared to the other notes; making it juicier.

The feel is decent. It has a very light carbonation in the beginning. The body is heavy and feels like juice as well as a bit unwelcome creamy.

Overall, a pretty good beer like every other Aslin beer and still worth getting.

16 oz. can dated 7/19/17 and poured into Behind the Veil glass.

L: Big foamy white head with good retention. Leaves patterned lacing, and a cap and ring. Almost too pretty to drink. Beer is a hazy orange/gold.

S: Pineapple, grapefruit, orange, and lots of resiny pine. A very nice combination.

T: Boy this is interesting and different. Total juicebomby pineapple, grapefruit, orange up front, but considerably more of a bready malt profile than you might expect, and finish is resiny, but less piney than nose would indicate. Will get into what I think really makes the difference in mouthfeel. Finish is neutral, but very long and sticky and somewhat boozy.

F: Almost full bodied, but the kicker is almost no carbonation and I think that is what makes it less than it could be. Definitely more of a chore to drink and gets pretty boozy and the built up hop resin lingers. Gave all of it a pretty severe dock for that.

O: Man, this was on its way to being really great, but I think more crispness and drying would do it a world of good. Heck of an effort, though.

This beer is the inbred cousin of the Neutrino that used to many different hops. Pours a deep wheat colored tan with a heavy head. Tastes like a pine needle and hops DIPA with tropical almost pineapple or citrus note. Boozier than the neutrino or maybe just not masked as well, very apparent in the aftertaste. The execution not the variety of the hops (3x different types?) was what made it taste a bit strong and off? Brand new can bought from the brewery and kept cold drank the day after release.
Struggled to finish the last drops, no heavy sediments though. Not my style but interesting. Wouldn't go back for more

L: muddy dirty yellow, complete NE haze, 1 finger creamy/foamy white head.
N: brighter citrus, pineapple, orange notes, slight yeasty, bready, doughy malt base, very nice fresh hop resin bite like you just shoved your face in a bag of hops.
T: slightly sweet fruity hop kick – pineapple, tropical fruits, citrus, slight yeast and bready malt profile, very nice fresh hop profile- tastes like a damn hop pellet.
B: creamy, medium to full bodied, medium to light carbonation, smooth.
Overall: very nice, the hops are so fresh, citrus and resin galore, tastes like your tongue is swimming in a bag of hops.
