16 oz can dated 9/13/17 and poured into Belgian ale glass.

L: Hazy orange golden. Not much head, absolutely no retention, lacing, or anything.

S: Peach, apricot, yeast. Pretty straightforward for the style. Nice enough.

T: Tart, slightly sour, and fruity with the above two flavors.

F: Light bodied, moderately carbonated. Construction is good, balance maybe a shade too sour.

O: It's pretty in line with their other Berliners.

Can, no date but two weeks from release:
Pours like the haze is whitening a dull golden body. Not much head initially, there are only a few bubbles that are slowly popping and being replenished along the edge of the glass.

Nose is initially huge on apricot, like I'm holding a very ripe one to my nose. The peach comes out a little later, and combines with the apricot to seem more like nectarine with a short whiff, but the peach scent really shines later in a longer inhale.

So the nose shows off the fruits, but it throws it into a fruit beer vibe. The Berliner style seems like it could be a bit of a canvas, and the fruits could take over the base beer. However, the taste is more tart than the nose indicated, and the fruits allow the lactobacillus sour note to play the lead. The apricot adds a little fruit note, still tart; I also get a little rubbing friction from the beer at this point. The peach is a little lost, but kind of sneaks in the end.

A wonderful nose on a little more straightforward sour beer than that sense indicates. The fruits do add to the taste without overpowering, however, and that's not a bad thing.
