Poured from a can dated 9/12/17.
L - Mostly cloudy amber color with a slightly pink hue (unless I'm imagining it). There is a nice, thick head with good lacing.
S - Citrus fruits with a slight undertone of pine resin and bitterness. There's something else in there also I can't quite place.
T - The taste is tropical first with a little citrus. There's some weird flavor that comes out toward the end and stays as an aftertaste. It's not great, not not horrible.
M - Medium carbonation with a thick body.
O - This is not the best example of an Aslin beer, but it's not terrible.

Canned 9/12/17. Poured into Belgian ale glass.
L: Pours a hazy pinkish orange, almost like a tequila sunrise. 2F foamy white head, good retention, lots of sticky white lacing, and a cap and ring.
S: Citrus, tropical fruits and kandi sugar.
T: Citrus and tropical flavors, a fair amount of peach. Kandi sugar. Almost like their peach and vanilla milkshake, which like this is based on their Mind the Hop DIPA. A hint of grape as well. Lots going on, pretty well blended. Sweet, especially for a DIPA, but not cloying.
F: Medium body, light to medium carbonation. Solid construction and balance. Scary drinkable for a 9.4% DIPA.
O: It's very different. Probably wouldn't like it as a regular thing, but as a cool experimental idea, I like it.

Can dated 9/12:
A weird beer with a pink-hued orange, heavy-hazed body. Some lacing from the thin collar.
Nose is a citrus juicy IPA, little more tart in nose than expected. There’s a certain tangy-sweet note that I can’t explain beyond that.
Fresher, it was a weird not-quite sweet fruity IPA. It didn’t “age” well, as the fruity note leans sour citrus and the sweet seems somewhat artificial.
That sounds a tad worse than it seems, as it’s still drinkable. I’m just not seeing a concept that came together well for my palate.

This is like a sweet sweet sandwich after you have been on the subway way way to long.
A must try sandwich, one of those very unique IPAs, that you say this is great, I am glad I tested it, but maybe
the experimentation went way further in itself, than the taste made it exactly where they wanted it.
You can really tell a difference from a straight citrus bomb, with the cotton candy sugar and grape juice. Really unique
somewhat twisted version of their normal juice bombs. I enjoy it and the 9.4% ABV is hidden well. Was expecting
a gnarly looking purple drink, but it's a slightly darker hazy orange-ish coloring. Nice foam.
And to top it off, the little critters on the can are pretty hilarious. Keep up the great experiments, Aslin!
Overall: Solid DIPA. This beer is something I have never quite tasted. For an anniversary beer, I will remember it!
