We have double dry-hopped one of our OGs. This beer is DOUBLE karate chopped (aka DOUBLE dry-hopped heavily) with Mosaic, Galaxy, and Amarillo. The result is a ninja star in the form of a beer or mango juice! Drink this beer fresh or we may nunchuck your a$$. Can you hear that? Chuck Norris may sneak up on you!

Pours light gold, no real head or lacing. Smell is very dank and herbaceous. This is billed as neipa, but I don't see it, too much carbonation and bitterness right up front.

Had on tap at the brewery.

Pours a deep, opaque gold with a bubbly persistent head. Smells sweet and juicy, like fresh cut mandarin oranges and warm honey. Warmer smelling than typical DIPA.
Flavor is piney, robust, yet mellow mildly sweet. warmer tasting than a typical DIPA.
Feels quite dry, smooth. Easy drinking for an 8.4

Feel is smooth and creamy. Drinks very easily. That is best part of this beer. I don’t get a ton of smell or flavor profile other than slight fruit notes. Not hoppy at all which is second best feature. This is quality but not deserving of its high rating

At the Alexandria taproom, into a tulip, pours a cloudy/chalky white peach. No head or lacing. Nose is impressive: citrus, a little mosaic earthiness, some mango and flowery orange blossom. Taste follows. Feel is a little middling...not super soft, but no hoppy bite either. Pretty light feel for the abv, but also a little thin...maybe not a bad thing. Glad I got to try this one.

-opaquely cloudy tap pour with a grapefruit nose and a very fine foam cap. The brew is densely flavorful with grapefruit, lemon and berries. The hop bitterness is moderate and the finish is dry. Superb!

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and thick lacing coating the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of mangos and orange citrus are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of mangos and orange citrus, along with additional notes of stone fruit. As the beer begins to warm up, additional notes of pine become apparent.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This New England IPA presents a burst of aromas and flavors of citrus and tropical fruit hops in the smell and taste.

This was yet another beer that I traded for that I took a while to get around to, as the date on the bottom of the can 10/3/17 with "DDH" written above it. If you're into rich, full, slick New England IPA's, then this would be one to seek out as it fulfilled all of those characteristics and was quite easy to drink. Plenty of smoothness and an understated alcoholic presence added to this beer's appeal as it was quite hard to have it last throughout my review!

Of course, the appearance of this beer was quite murky and muddled as the goldenrod hue didn't let in a lot of light - even around the edges. Plenty of head topped it off but there wasn't much lacing left behind except for a ring near the top of my pint glass. Lots of Mosaic and Galaxy in the nose as the aroma was dank, tropical and juicy without being terribly strong or overpowering. Enough citrus and tropical fruits were there as well with some forest behind them as the mango and papaya came through nicely in the taste. Lots of slickness here with some lime and cream thrown in for good measure as the sweetness lingered longer than anything else in the aftertaste.

With a light carbonation and an indistinguishable alcoholic presence, this was a great example of the style as the mouthfeel and flavor were typical of beers brewed closer to my neck of the woods. While not outstanding, this was too easygoing to be a chop or a kick in the pants, even after all of this time. This easily fell among Aslin's better offerings...
