The beer pours a very nice white head that dissipates fairly quickly. The beer itself is a beautiful metallic pale gold that is clear except for a few floaties, which are probably pieces of yeast and keeps it from being really good.
The smell and taste are pretty interesting because of the way the beer was made. Both have that tart and funk note that you normally find in the style but the chardonnay notes tend to come in stronger. The smell has a nice creamy note with wood running underneath it. The cream is less visible in the taste but the wood and tart are a bit more closer to a traditional Berliner Weisse. Both the smell and taste have a good white grape note.
The feel is interesting. It's definitely a lot more acidic than your typical Berliner. It's a light bodied beer but creamier. The carbonation is very light.
Overall, this was a pretty good beer even though it comes of as a little bit more of a low abv chardonnay with a slightly tartier note. It was definitely worth picking this one up.
