The beer pours a nice brownish head that dissipates fairly quickly while the beer itself is a dark and opaque brown with a thin texture to it.
The smell is fairly sweet. It has a pretty good caramel and toffee note with a slight bitterness to it. There is also a slight booze note too.
The taste is good. It's a bit more bitter than expected but mixes well with the toffee notes with roasted malt notes.
The feel is good. It has an unusually thin body for how heavy it is. Light carbonation.
Overall, this is a pretty mediocre English Barleywine but a pretty solid imperial brown ale. The beer is too dark for the claimed style and ought to be lightened up a bit.

Not to style. This drinks like an American Barleywine with a notable hop presence. Stone fruit and toffee notes are muted. Color is muddy. Too much pine on the nose.
