Received from the very generous WunderLlama as part of an LIF.
Poured peach colored into a willi becher (I think that’s the spelling) and sporting a soft 1 finger off white head that left regular lacing.
The aroma was all fruit, which surprised me. Mild enough, but definitely fruit.
The taste followed the aroma until the swallow, when the hops make their presence known. Cuts off the sweet and reminds you that this is supposed to be a DIPA.
The feel is remarkably smooth, viscous even. Quite odd, but very quaffable.
Nice beer, thanks Maynard!

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Fairly solid and opaque bodied, light amber orange in color, but not quite a thick or turbid mess either which is nice. Not much glow or shine either. Very big forming head, fluffy like, with some fine bubbles and giant tall head. Settles slowly with long standing retention.

Soft hinting hop notes, highlights a little bit of sweet leafy green notes, and perhaps some hinting tropical. Feels a little subdued but quite pleasant, without extreme sense either.

This is an interesting feel. Silky soft touching mouthfeel, an actual step on average giving to light touches of sugar and malt for a real nice backbone. Light hinting hop depth of earth and sweetness in the mid palate. Fills with a simple but juicy light touch of tropical to mango flavors, but still pushing a nice earth like touch.

Really nice sedate big IPA I would say, definitely has that feel like another one, in a real simple package.

Pours a hazy orangish yellow color with a lingering foamy white head. Like many of of the excellent NE IPAs from Aslin, this one has a big tropical fruit aroma. Taste follows the nose with pineapple, peaches and mango with a good balance of mildly hoppy bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy, like other aslin brews in this class. Another top addition to the Aslin brand of brews. And caution this one feels boozier than others!

Appearance: Pours a cloudy pear nectar color with a two finger head; good retention and extra nice lacing

Smell: Very tropical, with lychee, pineapple, melon and a candied orange tone

Taste: Sweet melon tones forward, with the lychee and pineapple adding a tropical element; candied orange through the middle adds a touch of bitterness, but the finish is tropical, with a hint of passionfruit

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body; somewhat creamy with moderate carbonation

Overall: Although I am coming to this a little late in the party, this beer is still drinking nicely though perhaps it has lost a little bitterness

Thanks, Frogger 27, for the opportunity

Appearance - Pours turbid deep orange color with huge fluffy white head that lasts forever. Lots of spotty lacing all around the glass.

Aroma - Very nice tropical aromas, sweet candied orange, mango yo can tell there are some dank hops hiding under all that sweetness. Nose is one dimensional tropical fruit.

Taste - Taste is much more balanced, still lots of sweet pineapple, mango but the fresh dank hops play an equal part in the flavor. There is no sign of the alcohol in the taste or nose which I always like. the tropical/orange peel/hops flow well through out the taste.

Feel - Really full creamy mouthfeel, almost chewy. Decent amount of dryness on the finish super soft.

Overall - Really well done DIPA, I like when these beers are not just juice bombs but also have some bitter hopiness as well.
