Can, no date:
Pours a fairly clear yellow out of the can, and ends up a moderately hazed pale yellow in the glass. A light head degrades to a medium-thin white collar - no lacing.
Nose to me is heavy on the passion fruit, but a little lime can be detected. There's a slightly earthy/grainy background that I only notice trying to discern non-passion fruit notes.
Definitely a sour opening, but only barely puckering. It's fruity with a neutral malt counter initially, leaving a little watered down aspect to the fruit. The lime seems to hit first at this point, but the passion fruit does come on by mid taste. I little peppery carbonation gets more bite as the habanero influence gains traction. It takes a few sips to get a little tingle, but repeated sips brings more heat, tingle, and even a little lingering numbness-like sensations - more black pepper spice-like than meaty, vegetal pepper. The overall flavor still leans mostly on the passion fruit, to me.
I happen to like the passionfruit coming out and the bite on this offering. The heat wasn't overpowering, and took a short time to catch up to me. Not entirely complex, and it sort of comes across as more of a tart fruited beer - there is only a very very light cheesy note from a more "wild" point of view. But quite refreshing, perhaps less so once the heat gets to you.
