It's peanut butter jelly time.

A: slightly hazy bright yellow with or white head.

S: light hops, Berry, and indeed P.B.

T: hot up front, with berry notes. Peanut butter hits in the middle, and the finish is a combo of the flavors.

M: light bright, and bubbly. Carbonation is moderate to high.

O: some things just shouldn't work but do..

Straw yellow colour with haze. White foam, high, persistent, small bubbles melt to a layer of about half a centimetre and remain so until almost the very end, slightly painting the glass.
The aroma is different from what I expected (peanut butter, strawberry), there is, of course, strawberry, which, however, momentarily "hides" behind a sweet sponge cake, a cake with de facto strawberries. The aroma is very strong, intense. The aroma is on the one hand pleasant but also strange, interesting and unusual.
Taste slightly sweet with a slight strawberry sourness and minimal bitterness on the finish.
Medium saturation. Full body. Texture smooth, soft, creamy. Long aftertaste, definitely sweetly biscuity, similar to strawberry pie. Only in the late finish could I detect peanut butter.

This beer sounded so disgusting I had to buy it, just to say I’ve had a pbj IPA…. I was sad when I drank them all and had none left. The initial smell is scary for a few seconds. Once that clears, the taste is shocking. Strawberry up front, REAL peanut butter on the back. Not that disgusting chemical peanut butter you get from most stouts and porters. I will be back for more.

I don't see any date listed on the can or the label sticker.

Appearance: The body is a dull gold color that is very hazy. Very fuzzy and vague shadows are visible through the glass. The head has good retention, is medium in stature, white, and fluffy across the surface. It leaves some nice lacing in the glass.

Aroma: There is a strong toast aroma that hits the nose first, shortly followed by a strong toasted peanut scent. There is a slightly earthy, garlic hop aroma. It smells very interesting and a bit enticing. It is a bit reminiscent of boiled peanuts. There is a strawberry scent that pops up too. It smells like strawberry jam.

Taste: Up front there is a mellow peanut flavor and a bit of an oat character. Towards the middle a bit of a strawberry flavor comes through that is very subdued. There is a garlic and onion flavored hop character in the middle that overwhelms the retracted berry flavor. With each subsequent sip of the beer, the strawberry character fades away and more of the hop character steps up. There is a light bit of mango that builds up on the palate and replaces the strawberry completely. The back of the palate doesn't have much character and there is a light bit of pineapple in the aftertaste but it is very mild.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied and smooth with little to no bitterness at all. Very easy to drink.

Overall: The beer is clearly a New England IPA, and the can states that this is an "India Pale Ale brewed with Peanut Butter & Strawberries." It does actually taste and smell like both peanut butter and strawberries, which is really neat. The strawberry flavor is very subtle in the flavor and the aroma, and this fades away even more as the beer is consumed. The peanut character comes across as a bit roasted and boiled which is neat. The peanut flavor is not as prominent as the aroma but both work in tandem to give a nice peanut character to the beer. The peanut character is pretty unique to this beer and differs a lot from other peanut beers. The hops seemed to dominate the beer quite a bit, even though they were tasty. The highlight of the beer is the peanut flavor and aroma. It was an enjoyable beer and I could drink it again. I would recommend it to those who enjoy peanuts, but maybe not so much to those looking for a stronger strawberry character. Hop lovers will still find something to enjoy in this beer as well.

Appearance: Pours hazy and amber colored with a one finger head; minimal lacing

Smell: As the label suggests, aromatics of peanut butter and strawberry blend with tropical fruit tones

Taste: Tropical fruit tones of orange and mango intermingle with the peanut butter and strawberry jam; through the middle, the combination creates a marmalade effect, with a pithy bitterness lingering

Mouthfeel: Medium body with low to moderate carbonation

Overall: Another one of the gimmicky IPAs from Aslin; I like this better than the banana pudding IPA but it still would not be something I would seek out again

Thanks, Slack, for the opportunity

Pours hazy yellowish Brown. Foamy, thicker White head that last a little while with light lacing.

Smell Citrus, strawberry, orange and a hint of peanut

Tastes orange, roasted peanut, bready, citrus peel fading to a light strawberry and then more roasted peanut. Finish is semi-dry with a roasted peanut linger. Medium body and creamy medium carbonation.
