Draft pour into a stem glass. Hazy orange appearance, fluffy white head, great retention and lacing. Tropical fruit, apricot, faint lactose notes, hops. Moderate to full body, creamy carbonation.

Aslin Beer Co. "Beer Drinking Is Not A Crime"
16 fl. oz. can; ink jet dating is illegible
$7.49 @ Total Wine & More, Claymont, DE
Notes via stream of consciousness: Given the very plain, retro-style label and name I assumed this was an American adjunct lager, or something similar. Looking at the label I just noticed that it's 8.5% ABV which is quite different. It's poured a cloudy golden body beneath a thumb's width of white foam that seems to be holding quite well. There are some strong hops in the aroma with orange, stone fruit, and gooseberry. On to the taste... it's very malty, and there's a whole lot of white grape flavor. I just brewed a double IPA with Nelson Sauvin hops, and this is definitely Nelson Sauvin. I think I'm getting some berry as well but I'm not sure. There's some definite peach and nectarine, orange, a little bit of apricot, lychee, and passionfruit. It's not that bitter but the alcohol helps to dry it in the finish. The fruitiness lingers. In the mouth it's medium bodied but it seems a little fuller because of all the extra proteins, and that also leaves it quite smooth. This is an intensely flavorful and amazingly fruity DIPA that should not be passed by.

Canned on: (can't read their weird date code)
A - Medium orange gold pour that's super hazy and thin white lacing.
S - Gooseberry, passionfruit, and citrus. Overall aroma is fruity but odd.
T - Citrus, white grape skin with some spiciness, passionfruit, peach, and apricot. Finishes on the sweeter side with low bitterness.
M - Big medium body that's soft and semi-dry with dryness around the mouth.
O - I don't particularly care for hops that produce that white grape nuance but this one works.
