From the growler, it pours a very dark brown with brown tinged edges and virtually no head. Peanut butter in the nose - peanut butter in the mouth - with some coffee added in. Killer Imperial Stout!

Be warned, however, this imperial stout (and it's fellow Imperial Stouts) are sold for a rather impressively large price. Be warned: Good, but expensive. I tried four and this was the one I liked best.

Caveat Emptor!

look: inky dark, no highlights at all when held too light. Slight tan head on the pour than recedes to wisps.
smell: peanut butter is poppin! Would not have guessed coffee but it adds a nice flavor in combo with the base stout. Almost like an adult Reeses with "dry" chocolate.
taste: like the nose. Killer

Poured into a teku glass via can

Color is a muddy brown with tan foam and lacing

Smell is peanut butter and milk chocolate with a twinge of caramel

Taste follows the nose nicely..hints of slight alcohol burn on the back end

Low carbonation

Mouthfeel is thick and semi sweet

The beer pours a nice brown head that dissipates very quickly while the beer itself is a good looking dark chocolate black-brown. The texture is nothing interesting other than it betrays a decent body to the brew.

The smell is good. It has a nice moderate peanut butter smell that dominates the coffee notes and mixes with the chocolate so well that the chocolate is hard to detect.

The taste is good. It has a nice peanut butter note upfront with a medium roast and chocolate notes in the finish.

The beer has a heavy body and a smooth texture to it with very little carbonation.

Overall, pretty good but not as impressive as the other ones.
