Brown color with a bit of tan foam. Chocolate and strawberry aroma. Taste is sweet with dark chocolate, some coffee and candied strawberries. Surprisingly, no booze.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a snifter glass.
L - Pours a dark brown, almost black, with a slight tan head.
S - Smells of chocolate and toasty coffee, with a slight strawberry smell.
T - Taste matches the smell, lots of chocolate and coffee, with some berry on the finish.
F - Full bodied with low carbonation.
O - Pretty easy drinking stout, for the 16.5 % ABV. Very enjoyable.

16 oz. can from Black Friday poured into Aslin teku glass, which may not be right for the style, but it's my house and if you don't like it you can leave. Also allowed to warm for a while.

L: Dark black. Small light tan head with not much retention, but leaves a tiny ring of lacing on the glass.

S: This is going to come as a shock, but strawberries, roasted malts, and in a more reserved role than one might expect, coffee. It gives you a sense of something sweet to come.

T: Yeah, it's a strawberry jam/coffee/roasty kind of thing going on. And it's quite good. On the sweet side, but only a little bit and not cloying or overbearing. Not much sense the alcohol is there, either, only a little bit of warmth on the finish.

F: Medium body, less heavy than you might expect. Not much carbonation. Drinks well enough for what it is. Construction and balance are strong - it all works very well together.

O: Preferable to the blueberry variant I tried first, this is a great dessert beer or whatever else you want to call it.

The beer pours a fairly light brown head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is a good looking dark chocolate black with a nice melted chocolate looking texture.

The smell is good. It has a nice and sweet strawberry note that comes off a little jammy and mixes well with the chocolate and a moderate roasted coffee note.

The taste is very good. The sweet strawberry notes come in underneath the indulgent chocolate and coffee notes.

The feel is good. It has a heavy and gooey body compared to the other beers in the series.

Overall, this is a good beer and another solid entry in the Black Friday 2018 series.

From can bought at Aslin the day before.

Very dark brown-black with a good bit of foam head upon pour. Very viscous appearance. Strawberry and coffee aroma, that indicates well what's coming in the taste. Loads of rich chocolate and coffee, with strawberry also coming through clearly. Rich and sweet. Medium mouthfeel (for an imperial stout). Extremely easy to drink for such a big 16.5% abv imperial stout.
