look: inky dark, no highlights at all when held too light. Slight tan head on the pour than recedes to wisps.
smell: The 4 additions meld really nicely, maybe vanilla edging out for the lead, and the cinnamon
a tight 4th place.
taste: much like the nose with the cinnamon blossoming in the finish.

My goodness, this is tremendous. I’ve had a lot of beers, but can’t remember one that utilizes banana this well. Go ahead and trade for this, you won’t be disappointed.

16 oz. can from Black Friday release. Poured into Kane chalice and allowed to warm.
L: 2F or so light tan head with good retention, leaving sheets of tan lacing and a cap and ring. Beer is a dark black.
S: I think if they're going for banana bread, they've done a pretty good job. Banana, cinnamon, vanilla right up front, with lighter notes of coffee and roasted malts.
T: Taste follows nose pretty nicely. Cinnamon-y banana with vanilla, backed with coffee and roasted malts. Very little notice of alcohol, even at this high level.
F: Full-bodied, only a little bit of carbonation. Various tastes meld together pretty nicely, though a year in a bourbon barrel or rum barrel (great idea with banana, right?) might make it even better. Reasonably well-balanced, although the banana and cinnamon get close to running away.
O: This is a real winner, and I hope they thought about barreling part of the batch, because it could be even better.

The beer pours a good looking brown head that dissipates fairly quickly while the beer itself is a nice silky looking dark chocolate black that is a bit darker than a normal stout due to the coffee. The beer has a good texture to it and looks like a nice chocolate syrup appearance.
The smell is good. It has a nice and fairly robust vanilla note that tends to dominate the other notes except for the cinnamon, which mixes with it very well. The banana is kind of lost and hard to find while comes straight out and contrasts well with the vanilla note.
The taste is nothing short of fantastic. It has a good mix and balance of the various notes. The vanilla is slightly less powerful with the chocolate and coffee coming to the forefront and subduing the vanilla. the cinnamon comes out more in the finish. The banana finally comes out but still easily gets lost in the vanilla.
The feel is good. It has a heavy body but a more silk and creamy texture with a slightly dry finish. The body is a bit thin but still retains a decent amount of heft to it.
Overall, this is a pretty freaking awesome beer with a really good flavor to it and is definitely one of the top ones released on Black Friday.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a snifter.
L - Pours a dark black color with a slight tan head.
S - Smells of chocolate and coffee.
T - Taste matches the smell, lots of chocolate and coffee. The vanilla, banana and cinnamon are more subtle.
F - Full bodied with light carbonation.
O - Really tasty stout.
