The beer pours almost no head. The beer itself is a good looking dark chocolate brown with a syrupy but thin texture. It looks really delicious.
The smell has a dominant whiff of a smooth vanilla with a mix of sweet cocoa that strongly reminds me of marshmallows. The rye is surprisingly subtle and comes out around the edges in the finish.
The taste is a bit different. The rye comes right up front with a good sweet and spice with a tinge of alcohol. The sweet chocolate comes out a delicious fudge. The vanilla is the more subtle note that comes out but lingers after the finish for a good while.
The beer is a silky texture with a slight stick in the finishes. The carbonation is light but still biting. There is a definitely a nice and moderate burn to it in the finish.
Delicious and indulgent.
