So a week ago I was going off on that last Aslin “Maze” Gose with Dragon/Passion Fruit? Well that one is in the “Outstanding” cat by Beer Advocate. The next day I went there and they’d just released “Keepin the Funk Alive” and I snapped it up. This time a sour ale brewed with Blackberry, Dragon Fruit, Passion Fruit, Vanilla & Milk Sugar @ 6%. Wow! I’m going with more complex, the Blackberry is forward. Again with a red color, small lacing, darker, garnett color. So refreshing for spring summer drinking, a bit more heft at 6% where the Gose was 4.5% for just drinking but really nice. The sour gives a fizz where the Gose was more refreshing. Aslin kills it again. These guys are doing true magic, hope their move to Alexandria doesn't change things. They are clearly focused on the beers right now. As my wife says (and she doesn't drink) "I've never had anything from Aslin that wasn't great." 'So there!
