Aged in bourbon & rum barrels for 12 months. We then conditioned it on Vietnamese coffee, Vietnamese cocoa nibs, Madagascar vanilla beans & double coconut. We get notes of molasses, macaroons & marshmallow with some light barrel tannins.

The beer pours a nice brown head that is very little and dissipates fairly quickly but seems to have a nice creamy texture to it. The beer itself is a dark chocolate brown that is more brown than it is black. The texture appears to have a nice syrup look to it.
The smell is fairly indulgent. It has a good mixed toasted coconut and chocolate note that comes out in front. It is then followed by a moderate bourbon note. The coffee is bitter and chocolatey that flows through the whole thing before a light and sugary sweet rum note in the finish.
The taste is really, really good. The toasted coconut is a bit more mute and comes off a little bit like toasted marshmallows but is not any less toasted than in the smell. The bourbon is a bit more upfront and the rum comes out stronger in the finish. The coffee is nice and bitter with the cocoa nibs adding a bit of sweetness in the finish.
The feel is good. It has as heavy and syrupy body with very little carbonation. It has a sticky finish to it.
Overall, this is a pretty indulgent beer worth getting.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
