The beer pours very little head and when it does come out, it is a light brown color that dissipates very quickly. The beer itself is a very dark brown that looks black but isn't.
The smell is good. It has a moderate, sweet and creamy vanilla note with a lightly bitter coffee note. The beer was aged for a while so the lemon note has died down a bit but still comes in the finish and somehow works with its light sour note.
The taste is delicious. The vanilla mixes with a stronger coffee note while the lemon is very faint. It's pretty good and tastes more like an espresso with a bit of lemon than anything. The bourbon notes also add a good sweetness to it.
The feel is good. It has a heavy body but thin and creamy texture to it. There is some very light carbonation.
Overall, this was a pretty good beer with a bunch of interesting notes.
