The beer pours brown and creamy head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is a good looking dark chocolate black that resembles coffee pretty well.
The smell is pretty good. It has a strong sweet chocolate and bitter coffee smell while the maple syrup comes out in the finish. The bourbon is fairly light but you can still get it.
The taste is really good. It's a bit richer and more complex than the smell since the notes come out more evenly. The sweet chocolate is the dominant note that comes upfront with good bitter coffee undertones that give way to the bourbon and maple syrup notes in the finish.
The feel is good. It's a heavy bodied beer with a creamy body and light carbonation to it.
Overall, a delicious beer and pretty indulgent one at that.

L - Deep, opaque black with a tan head that dissipates somewhat quickly leaving behind a tan cap
S - Tons of rich milk chocolate and sweet maple syrup
T - Follows the nose rich milk chocolate and maple syrup up front and throughout along with some roasted/toasted malt, caramel, and molasses - sweet overall.
F - Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Smooth.
O - A very well done imperial stout
