On tap at brewery:
Hazy, like almost all Aslin beers, a strikingly, near blinding white foam cap graces the top of it.
The nose has a rustic feel to it with a bit of hay and dirt and a little musty attic, but also a dry grain bread aspect. There’s also some white pepper and maybe a hint of clove.
Taste starts with a floral sweet note that is likely from the dry-hopping. The Brett dirtiness counters this and steers it back towards a more classic Brett Saison. A little bit of melon keeps it from getting to the point of full dryness - so I’m going semi dry on the finish. The beer is just a little flat, however.
A fairly clean finish, but there’s a sneaky little fruit, a remnant of pepper, and a few specks of dust that are lingering on my palate between sips.
