Aromas tend to our perform the taste with a lot of Aslin’s products. I do like their focus on having some lower ABV beers.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Kappy's in Hyannis for seventeen bucks. My fourth brew from these guys, previous 3 from trades. Never seen Aslin in MA, must be new? Very unusual taste, still trying to figure this one out....

16 ounce can poured into a nonic style pint glass.
L: Straw colored and hazy, opaque with no light showing. An aggressive pour yields three fingers of cream white foam with some sticky lace.
S: Juicy mango and light citrus with grainy malt.
T: Mostly dry with a bit of juice, citrus and light, green grassy hop flavor, moderate lemon peel bitterness, grainy malt and a bit of pepper bite. Also getting some dish soap-like flavor at the finish.
F: Soft and smooth, just a bit chewy, carbonation and body right in the middle.
O: Easy drinking, nice feel, a little light in flavor but not bad for only 5.5% ABV.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) bottle into a Captain Lawrence, muffin top, pint glass; no production information.
A: Pours a murky, golden yellow color with a less than one finger, white head, rim and cap retention and foamy, sticky lacing all the way down the glass.
S: Aromas of apricot and mango at first, intertwined with caramel, but resolving to a very strong barley and white pepper note.
T: Fairly dry. Palate follows nose with fruit up front, giving way to barley coming through on the back. Bitterness sufficient to offset the graininess.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and creamy.
O: At a 5.5% ABV, Baby Dunley is clearly a relatively low alcohol take approaching the NEIPA style. Overall, this is a very drinkable and enjoyable.
