Hazy yellow, nice white head, great retention and lace
Lemon and lime zest, nectarine, and pine aromas
A dull Cape gooseberry flavor. Can't really pick up much else
Slightly on the heavier side of medium, appropriate carbonation
Everything about this was pretty dang good except the taste

16oz can poured into a tulip

A- pours a hazy pale yellow color with a one-finger foamy white head that has good retention

S- smells of orange zest, lemon & lime, mango, dry white wine and earthy grass

T- zesty citrus up front gives notes of grapefruit, lemon and lime. Mid-palate gives some white grape notes, reminiscent of a dry white wine. The finish brings out some lime as well as Lemon Head candy.

M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp finish

O- some interesting lemon notes that you don't typically see, very enjoyable

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Nicely clear and super pale amber yellow, with a lemon shine nice brass tone and color. Fluffy topped easy tall three finger head with swiss cheese like retention, and a nice top fine puck. Settles real quickly with some nice linear lacing.

Lighter aroma on the nose. Faint hits of herbal grass and nice light earth hop flavors. Mellow sensing simple malt base, a touch of sweetness just a little. Fairly light bodied sensing, and even a touch of almost estery like saison yeast sort of ?

Palate seems fairly straightforward. Light citrus flavor notes of small orange, and hinting pineapple tropical flavors. Minimal juiced backbone, with a light texture of malt, almost white bread sweetness. Finishes with a little earthy grass herb, slightly sticky pasty yeast character also.

Bit of an odd IPA, but still pretty solid drinker.

Can:
Pours cloudy with a lightly bruised nectarine body and a foamy head that rises to a couple fingers. A thin layer of the latter stretches across the surface for a good part of the drink. The top of the glass has thick deposits of crystalline structures sticking to it as the level of beer drops.

Nose give me the impression of coconut, lime, and cardamom - these is particular add to the aroma that generically remind me of Montueka. There's also a little sweetened milk and something like oatmeal when I inhale deeply. Taste is a little more fruity up front - mango in particular with a little tangerine and sweet grapefruit. The Montueka coconut joins and comes with a lingering kiwi/strawberry aspect that stretches to the end of the taste. There's a white wine high note (itself citrusy with light grass) that breaks up the beginning of the notes just mentioned from their lingering after effects.

I'm a fan of Montueka, and I thankfully get a fair dose of it in this beer. The mix of fruits I get is interesting, there's allusions to a lot of things versus getting something distinct (the mango is the most straightforward to me). Over medium heft with decent carbonation that thins the beer slightly. Over the course of the glass, a little bitterness builds up in the moderately dry finish.
