Half pour at Aslin Pittsburgh. Pale yellow golden, hazy, bubbly white soft head, lacing. Aroma is citrusy and floral. Taste is more flowery, but the citrus zest is pretty powerful. Remains on the palate.

On tap at brewery:
Listed as a New Zealand pilsner, so probably mis-categorized, gonna rate as a generic pilsner. It is a hoppy and bitter offering that does highlight the NZ hops. Light, but with the extra bitterness, it doesn’t clean up as well as I’d prefer.

Picked this can up to go from BeerNV after stopping in for some pours after coming down the mountain from a day of skiing at Mt. Rose. No canning date.
Pours a dark gold color. Makes about 2/5" white head. The aroma is not that of a traditional pilsner. But it also doesn't have that down under hop character you would think it would given the Waimea and Motueka hops used. Its something else.
Taste, ok, now we have this twangy bitterness to it. Again, doesn't really taste like you would think these hops would taste. Or something with pilsner malt. Or lager yeast. What the hell is this then? Tastes like someone went after an IPL but with only bittering hops and neutral lager yeast. I'd love to know what the age on this was. Its not my fault if a company fails to provide such information. I'm just reviewing your beer sir. It didn't measure up. If you failed at some aspect of distribution or labeling, that is on you.
For me though, a pilsner that tastes like it is 75 ibu is probably not ever going to be getting the kid glove treatment. I didn't hate the beer by any means, finished all 16oz of it, but I don't think it did anything to match expectations from the commercial tug job.

A New Zeeland Pilsner
This was a delicious surprise. Pours a clear gold. Nice aroma, lemondrop candies and just a hint of grass. It’s lemony with a grassy hop note on the sip. I could drink this all day.
