NO can date
Pours a med frothy creamy head with moderate retention, messy lacing, hazy cloudy deep gold slight orange color
Nose is very rich with fruits, citrus like lighter tangerine and clementine, a little lemon as well, generic tropical that brings pineapple and unripe mango, also a vanilla character and doughy creamy wheat, with a bit of cake batter and orange zest marmalade notes,
Taste starts rich as well, malt and citrus up front, more of the creamy doughy wheat with vanilla and cake batter, a little chalky mineral, citrus brings Clementine, young orange, Valencia orange, and orange cream, tangerine, some mango sorbet as well, generic tropical, papaya, almost no bitterness, drier finish with more of the citrus lingering, maybe even a little grapefruit pith, and some vanilla lingering
Mouth is med bod but quite creamy, soft juicy, med foamy carb
Overall not bad, the fruit really exploded on this one, the creamy wheat and cake batter vanilla characters were interesting, not necessarily a bad thing but unique and not what I expected, still a fun beer

Honestly a bit surprised I liked this a much as I did. Some of Aslin's smaller IPAs are hit an miss, but I found this one to be unique and tasty. Some tropical fruit for sure, and pleasantly surprised that the coconut attributed to the Sabro hops actually came through like it did. Definitely getting the pina colada thing here without being weird. The 5.5% probably helped keep this from being cloying and staying light, soft, and hoppy. Good mouthfeel and not thin, which was a relief. I would drink this on a regular basis if it was available.
