That Shiz Slaps! This is our new Doppelbock that’s giving us flavors of toasted bread with toasty, light malt. Dark fruit flavors of raisin and prune give a sweetness to this one, and the texture is satisfyingly full-bodied. With no hint of bitterness, this goes down easy & goes excellently with a hearty meal.

Poured a mahogany liquid with an off white head.
Malty but somewhat dry aftertaste.
Feels slightly high on the carbonation scale but I think that might be normal for a Dopplebock.
Tryed this brew for something different. Not my style but not a bad brew.

Appearance - From the can, the beer was dark brown in color, with a slight head topping the pint glass.
Smell - The malts were strong in the nose with a dark bread-like quality.
Taste - in the initial taste, the malts were strong enough to give the impression of coffee. It was both dark and sweet. There was nothing to faint about this one. My only objection was the coffee notes being too strong.
Mouthfeel - With low carbonation, the beer was quite dense.
Overall - Though it did not seem true to style, it was quite good.

It does slap, I have to agree...
From the look of dark caramel with reddish hues, to the complex smell of raisins and wheat, it is truly a special experience right out of the can. The rest of it is solid, very solid. I truly enjoyed this as I like it when a beer hides it's high ABV. Great beer, no doublt.

From a can. Dark brown color with a half inch of brown head. Smells of roasted malt and raisins. Heavy feel. Sweet roasted malt with some nut and raisin notes. Pretty good, and conceals the high ABV.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark clear brown pour, half finger beige foamy head. Toasty malt aroma, sweet, nutty. Taste brings chocolate notes, malty, creamy feel. Smooth and mild for 9.5% ABV.

A Tavour Treat. Pours a dark brown color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Aroma of spices and roasted malts. Taste is tangy and spicy. Crisp and dry.

Not bad actually. The alcohol is well concealed for a 9.5% beer. Drinks like a porter, mouthfeel is suprisingly light. not sludgy at all, quite easy to drink. Would buy again at some point. Overall decent beer. Smokey porter flavor if that makes sense

16oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours brown in color with a two-finger creamy khaki head that has great retention and leaves some lacing behind
S- toasted brown bread on the nose, even a bit of a peppery note. Undertones of chocolate, caramel and a hint of raisin
T- sweet, nutty and malty up front with notes of toasted bread crust, followed by sweet notes of chocolate and toffee. The finish brings out some dark fruit notes of fig and raisin, with more toasted bread crust and a nutty linger
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continues into a silky finish
O- drinks more like a brown ale than a doppelbock, but tasty and good drinkability
