I think this marks the end of aslin stouts and barleywines for me. Just another that does not have good balance. Overly earthy yeast up front is washed over with hot bourbon and sugary vanilla, dark chocolate, char, and barley smash into the finish haphazardly. Smell is pretty much roast and booze with a heaping of sugar. Feel is hot and grainy with sugars, roasted malts, and barley as some sort of frankenstein. But hey it looks nice with an opaque body and tan head.

Bottle at share. A blend of imperial stout and barleywine that adds up to a luscious, booze bomb. Dark and viscous, sweet, chocolate, malty, toffee, vanilla. Boozy yet smooth. A real knockout.
