Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Bit of a ridiculous and uncontrolled head out of the can. Booming and gigantic bleach white thick soap, with lots of staying power. Fairly straightforward muted yellow and opaque body, with some good amounts carbonation through the glass. Big chunks of cling lace also.
Very nice fruity nose. Hints of spiced up apricot and citrus oils on the nose. Not much sense of lactose either, but in many ways that seems to be a plus for me. Spiced hop angle drifts to fresh cut grass and even tropical angles.
Palate shows a bit more. Milky and sweet hinted backbone, mixing with a pleasurable hop character. Sweet touches of apricot and marmalade, with a slight icing sugar mix. Orange sweetness, lilke a big tangerine hinted quality that comes out nicely. Creamy sensing also.
For another "milkshake" IPA, this one seems a little more subdued which is probably a good thing, as the added sugars aren't overbearing and pull out more of the hop fruited quality. I do wonder though what this beer would be like without it.
