L - Deep black with some mahagony highlights with a thin tan head that dissipates quickly leaving behind minimal lacing
S - Tons of blueberry on the nose with some hints of chocolate and roasted malt as well as vanilla
T - Follows the nose: waffle batter and blueberries up front and throughout intermixed with marshmallow fluff/vanilla notes and milk chocolate.
F - Full bodied with a light amount of carbonation. Smooth, silky
O - It's so rare that beers follow through on hitting every flavor note they promise but Aslin really seems to get this right with their beers, especially their sounds. A very well done dessert stout

Poured from the can into a teku glass.
Deep walnut brown, not viscous at all, with a light looking body and some noticeable carbonation. Head is a minimal one finger, which dissolves to a pencil thin collar, and no top at all.
Aroma is a bit one dimensional, but impressive. Thick sense of blueberry, and hints of light vanilla. Not much sensing roasty or typical stout malt character though, but it does have that cake and biscuit like quality smell as well.
Palate becomes much more fun. Much more rich body to taste than anticipated, finally giving to light syrup and sweet blueberry juice on first sip. Big dark chocolate notes in the mid palate. Finishes with light touches of dark cocoa nibs, and maybe even a touch of coffee, which makes an excellent accent to the blueberry angle.
Not a giant rich stout as I often expect from Aslin, but a great tasting one even at this level.

Solid black appearance with light carbonation. Around a medium body with just a bit of a creamy feel.
Aroma is a nice mix of brandy, blueberry jam, malt, black coffee.
Taste is mildly sweet with an equally mild bitterness that mostly shows up in the finish. Blueberry port, black coffee, Blueberry jam.
Overall its a really well done beer that can be had as a dessert beer or it can stand on its own.
