8 ball black with a short dark mocha head dying to a flat creamy ring.
The moderately thick body is surprisingly barrel forward of splintery oak that comes with some heat. An abundance of vanilla bean translates on the palate as spiced rum with some hints of sassafras root.
While fairly hot, this actually helps here compared to the other BA Aslin bottles I've had, which--due to their overly flavored, muddled and sweetened characteristics, (much like Horus)--I've not been a huge fan of otherwise.
