Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Good muted and solid bodied simple dark lemon color off a good pour. Creamy to slightly soapy head, adding all to a big thick chunk of good white color and three finger stacked height. Pretty much a solid straight up looker in the IPA category.
Aroma comes off exquisite and somewhat exotic. Soft hinting herbs with a perfume like sweet pine and cedar note. A few touches of sweet malt for balance, but with a hop angle that dominates and sits like a cloud of joy over the beers nose.
Palate manages to stick to simplicity. Light bodied, with a bit of prickly mouthfeel. Touches a mix of mild tropical and sweet baby aspirin character making for an interesting almost "buzz". Not coming off exotic on the palate as much as the nose hinted at unfortunately. There's that almost rock mineral texture in the finish, making for a fun experience.
Kind of an odd IPA, but fun to explore with.

Pours a very hazy orangish yellow color with a foamy white head which switches to lacing after a few mins. Tropical fruit on the nose especially peaches, mango and some hops. Taste follows the nose with delicious juicy sweetness with a well balanced mildly hoppy bitterness. Yet another excellent NE style IPA from Aslin.
