This Barleywine spent 14 months soaking in Bourbon Barrels, and was then brought into Apple Brandy Barrels to double barrel-age for 12 months. Each smooth sip of this beer brings to mind flavors of autumn. Caramel, vanilla, plum, apple spice, cinnamon, and light oak.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a nice dark brown with minimal head. Nose is beautiful mixture of bourbon and brandy. Raisins, cherries, raspberries, chocolate, slight citrus, and a bit of toffee. The taste is incredible. Sweet and fruity, with a really nice toffee and malty backbone. I would say the brandy barrels dominate over the bourbon. Very brandy forward. This brings lots of dark fruit - blackberries, raspberries, and plums. The alcohol heat is definitely there. This is a really nice one! Mouthfeel is medium bodied.
