A bit sweet on the taste, but a nice level of barrel to bring date and fig to the tangy wheat wine base.

The world needs more wheatwine! Especially in 500ML bottles. Looking for that killer Aslin beer I haven’t slugged yet; may this be The One.
This is the muddiest brown beer I’ve ever seen. Pretty sure I’ve waded through this on the Moosecamp River off Fourtown Lake. The nose is hard bourbon & brown leather that has skidded down Minnehaha Parkway for about 75 feet.
Afton brings the heat. Quick riff of bourbon right up main street, attended by a quartet of booze, booze, alkyhaul, & more booze. Mid-palate brings reliable leather, a hint o’ the old ale, fruit cake w/no fruit, brown sugar Pop Tarts. Booze reasserts itself on the finish. Very full for a b-wine, but 500ML is going down easy.
Pairs perfectly with 11 hours of sleep or an ibuprofen/caffeine cocktail in the A.M. An excellent beer with a nice twist on the style.
