This is dark black, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This reads like it would be extremely sweet, but it honestly doesn’t come off that way, very surprisingly. I don’t really get blueberry or marshmallow, just milk chocolate on the nose.
I mostly get a fairly typical barrel aged stout here, some chocolatey sweet, maybe a touch of marshmallow, but there’s really not much blueberry here at all. I honestly don’t mind, as a bourbon/port/marshmallow/blueberry involved stout just seems like it would be disgustingly sweet. But I also feel like a little bit of blueberry would be interesting here, and it’s a bit of wasted potential.
This is thick, creamy, and not very boozy.
This tastes pretty good, and is surprisingly well balanced, but feels like a bit of a waste of ingredients.
