From a just filled and newly released 16 oz can. No visible date code. $9.99 per 4-pack.
Slightly hazy, straw appearance with a two finger head that has good staying power. Sweet smelling nose - gives off what I would best describe as an earthy sugar note. None of the citrus and tropical notes you'd expect from the hop bill. Taste is fairly malty and sweet with a muddled hop finish mix of citrus and pineapple. This beer strikes me as under attenuated - not sure what the brewer had in mind but it seems like a waste of good hops to produce such a sweet, malty and unfocused DIPA. Feel is moderate with low carbonation. Overall not too enjoyable. Maybe being the first canning RG needs to dial in their processes. Gonna give Paradocs a try next.
