16 oz can pkgd 11/11/25 into a nonic pint glass.
L: Pours pitch black with a huge 1/2 glass dark khaki creamy head that displays cascades of bubbles much like a widgeted can, has long-term head retention, low carbo, head transforms into a dormant volcano shape then to a dome, heavy full circumference complex lacing. ** Multiple can pours to fill glass. Approx 5 minutes.
S: Coffee, char, dark fruits, toasted malts, burned toast, cocoa, dark soda bread, toffee, caramel candy.
T: Taste follows aroma plus over ripe grapefruit zest, raisins, prunes, dates, distant plum, it is very gently bitter with a hint of tartness, a note of soda bread, there is candy sugar on the lips.
F: Smooth, creamy, lightly whipped medium-heavy bodied mouthfeel with a plush center and a smooth medium-dry long finish.
O: Incredible balance with superb flavor and one of the most attractive Imp Stouts I've seen. I don't get much vanilla taste but chocolate is in there, which is good. A fantastic display of bittersweet. Not radical or challenging to the palate yet is deep. It is outstanding.
