a clean and brazen american ipa with some less common hops in it, really distinct in an overly samey style space, and really nice beer overall, wow. heck of a first impression from these guys. its golden to brassy colored, not perfectly clear but certainly not a hazy, average white head. the nose is amazing, kiwi fruit, fresh herbs, honeycomb, lemongrass, lime kool aid, fresh flowers, and faint white pepper, really different and compelling, slightly oily and maybe a trace of the green onion hop thing, but its subtle and noninvasive. the flavor is similar, but i get a big pop of tangerine type citrus up front, then the floral and herbal stuff in the middle, jasmine and honeysuckle, then finally some sweet melon and maybe pineapple, really cool hop complexion here, sultana, enigma, and an experimental, clever and dialed. the grain is light but not irrelevant, some minerals to it, an organic nature, even a breakfast vibe, but pretty dry on the back end, and without all that much body for its posted strength. minimal fermentation character, just peppy vibrant and unique hops, they really make this, the freshness and overall quality are high, and this really got me stoked. great beers in this under the radar operation, we had a fantastic time in here, killer beer list!
