It’s the opposite of Deja Vu. You think you’ve had a Belgian Tripel before...but we took our in a whole new direction. Chamomile starts things off strong, but looks for hints of cardamom and orange zest somewhere in the mix.

Reviewed about 1week after canning. Poured from 16 oz. glass into a snulip glass. It pours a cloudy, orange-bronze color that resembles apple cider. It sports a thin, creamy eggshell-colored cap and film of lacing. It's darker in color than I expected. There's not much to the nose: primarily caramel with hints of apple, banana, clove, and a whiff of tobacco smoke. The smell improves as the glass warms. The taste opens with apple, orange zest, and a hint of banana. There is also a caramel presence that grows as the glass warms. The expected clove, cardamon, and Belgian spicing appears at the back end. It's tangy. This is a surprisingly drinkable ale for its 9.2% ABV. It has a fairly creamy mouth feel and the level of carbonation is appropriate. Jamais Vu is not a typical Tripel insofar as it lacks the crispness, bold spicing, and heavy banana. But it's uniqueness is part of its charm. It's exceedingly drinkable and has an autumn-like quality. It would pair well with pub fare but is fine for casual drinking. Don't drink Jamais Vu if you intend to compare it to La Fin Du Monde or one of the fine Belgian Tripels. Enjoy it for what it is.

I had a 4oz taster at the brewery yesterday. Not attempting a full review here but rather cursory notes and an overall comment that the beer was quality.
This was very good. I love cardamom and it worked very well here with the traditional tripel flavor profile. This version was dialed back to 7.9% making it a very drinkable triple. The normal strength of this beer I understand is ~9% but they brewed a different version this time.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
