Thanks to @superspak for this one.
Record in NBS BIF #8
Wow.Turbid and opaque. Fluffy white foam top. Pretty solid lacing and retention.
Aroma is bright and fruity. Citrus zest, some peach, melon, and hints of guava maybe. Then goes a tad piney in a spice direction. Bitter, earthy close.
Flavor follows the nose for the most part, but goes a bit more pithy in the citrus range. Still finishes with a blend of spice and pine (almost dank) bitterness.
Medium mouthfeel with active carbonation.

16oz can, snifter glass. Pours a cloudy golden yellow body, one and half finger frothy white head, good lacing, plenty of retention. Smell is a pithy orange, a bit of citrus peel, light caramel, touch of sugar, light herbal resin. Flavour follows, grapefruit and orange zest, touch of caramel and sugar, resinous herbal bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, reasonably drinkable without too much sweetness or bitterness on the backend.

16 oz can traded from Junior. Poured into Yakima Valley solo cup glass.
The body is like a dark murky orange juice mixed with a shot of iced tea. It's pretty brackish, but not totally unappealing. The head is a creamy finger and recedes to about a fingernail. Lace is skirted around the wide mouthed glass.
Aroma is really really enticing. Tons of dank and grapefruit peel, with some orange peel, tangerine, wet towel, pound cake, fresh herbs, and slight various confectionery notes.
At first taste, the flavor comes off bitter, but then at second sip, this wonderful blended lime sherbet/7up thing comes forth and settles in. A third sip brings even more mystery with bitter tangerine peel, pink grapefruit, and slight herbal notes.
Heavy carbonation with some heavy resins and starches lingering around. Acidity is about a 7 out of 10 in intensity. Lingering acid and resins on the finish.
Overall, quite a bit of a sipper, but it's delicious no doubt. I'd give this some more time to settle in a bit, although I don't know what date this was canned on I could say easily I could let it go another month before having.

Appearance is a very hazy almost grapefruit juice color. Poured with a finger plus of bubbly off white head.
Aroma is dank grapefruit , pineapple and I swear peach.
Taste follows nose. Resin-y grapefruit and pineapple upfront with some sweet peach rounding out the sip.
Feel is soft and smooth. Carb could be just a tad lower and that would take the mouthfeel over the top.
Overall a fantastic neipa. It helps I love Citra but regardless an excellent beer! I believe this may be my first Ellison beer and as such it definitely impresses!

L - 2.5 finger fluffy white head atop a murky, opaque yellow body.
S - lots of grapefruit, orange, herb, cotton candy.
T - meat! This one isn’t all-meat like some Citra beers I’ve tasted, but meatiness is a factor. I get garlic, onions, medium-rare filet, topped with a dab of blue cheese. Then the citrus flavors make themselves present. Bitter grapefruit, semisweet orange, sweet georgia peaches, just a hint of tropical fruits. Super-clean middle. Low bitterness. Low sweetness. Low booziness.
F - medium-full body with normal carb.
O - delightful. Some Citra beers taste like pure meat to me, but this one is equal measures meat and citrus. Thus I dig it more than most Citra beers. Also my first from Ellison. Make more like this please!

A thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a very hazy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is juicy, citrus, a touch of melon. Taste is citrus, resin, juicy, light pineapple and peaches. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is a good quality beer.
