August 2005: Bottle, under its alias "Goliath", RBESG 2005 Grand Tasting in Copenhagen. Sweetish malty aroma and flavour, not that remarkable. Might sample again.

L- Sediment sirs up REALLY easily, despite bottle being rested for weeks. Pours pale/mid amber with slight haze as most sediment left in bottle. Pillowy 3cm white head holds well.
S- Very Belgian, spices and timber.
T- Spices and pretty pungent woody notes, into a hoppy-dry finish.
F- Easy drinking, serve well chilled as I didn't find it improves as it warms to room-temp.
O- Nice, versatile. I'd happily drink again though probably not pay the premium to buy this as something of a niche specialist import.

Pale blonde colour, almost like a white beer , with a small head that keeps a ring and leaves a great lace. Aroma of pineapple, banana, coriander. Medium to light body, great carbonation. Taste of fruits, bitersweet, cloves. Good.

A: Pale yellow colour, huge white head, some lacing

S: orange peel, yeast, malts, some hints of hops

T: yeast, some banana, hops in the finish

M: undercarbonated, thin, not dry

O: a pretty average beer, I'll drink it again, but I won't go looking for it

Labelled as Goliath Blonde, from Brasserie Legendes.
On draft at de Zotte, Amsterdam.

Hazy platinum with madly clingy snowy froth.
Funk, crackers and lemon on the nose.
White bread, a twist of lemon, then cut grass hops.
Herbal finish and slightly bitter rind linger.
Crisp, light, slight cling, creamy.

Lemon meringue pie! Nothing like the depth of Blond v Jut. Still, gets the job done.
