Was gifted this bottle and have no idea what the age is, no dating or markings on it....
Poured a slow pour, and stil had tons of head in the glass, almost 2 inches atop the pale golden ale. Head did finally reduce to a nice thick white cloud of bubbles. Insane amount of tiny particles all throughout! I mean, wow, completely freckeled wit teensy brownish pepper-like dots and some larger chunks. Some bits of carbination can be seen risiing, not too much. Kinda interesting... Yeasty and spicey, saisonish scents with bananas, some fresh cut grass, bit of fruitiness, maybe some very ripe strawberries.
Tasting it, very first thing is an intense hit of carbination. Tons of carb in the mouth, foams up all over the place champagne-like. Very nice and dry, again I'm reminded of a saison. Bit of alcohol, fresh ground cinnamon and spiceyness. Easy drinker, leaves your mouth fairly dry. Light bodied enough to keep going with it. Nice.

On-tap at the Brick Store.

Pours a clear gold color with a one-finger white head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving thick lacing.

Smells of pale malts with hints of Belgian candi sugar and green apples.

Tastes similar to how it smells. Sweet malt flavors up front are joined by hints of green apples and fainter hints of spiciness. The ending is crisp.

Mouthfeel is good. It has a nice thickness with moderate carbonation.

Drinkability is good. I finished my glass fairly quickly and could have a few more.

Overall I thought this was a pretty drinkable BPA but it really didn't have enough complexity to be anything better than good.

Purchased from Beer Mania in Brussels after being recommended to us by Nasser the owner.

Poured from a Bottle into a trappist goblet

Appearance - Darker golden color with a big foamy white head. Good lacing all the way till the final drink. .

Smell - Malt, yeast, hops and something fruity I can't make out.

Taste - The taste doesn't jump out with anything in particular. Hops, malt and some spice are there.

Mouthfeel - Tons of carbonation all over the mouth with a crisp dry finish.

Drinkability - This is a lighter refreshing beer. Not bad at all and I would drink it again. It just isn't something amazing.

Poured into a Westmalle goblet.

Very little head, even with a fairly aggressive pour. It dissipates very quickly. The body is a nice hazy golden amber.

Smell is very pleasant. Very slight sweetness and hints of light fruits.

The what little sweetness there was in the aroma isn't as present during tasting. Fruit-like tastes coming through, but quickly overpowered by malt and a slight bitterness. Unexpected, but good. Lots of carbonation, and little to no alcohol present.

Overall a nice brew. There are better things to spend 2EUR on at the beer shops around here, but definitely not bad.

Bottle: Poured a hazy blonde beer with a huge head with above average retention. Aroma is quite hoppy with some notes of yeast and light spices. Taste is very refreshing for a pale ale with some nice floral touch from the hops and a subtle spicy finish. Very good as a refreshing beer but in no way is it a complex beer.

My girlfriend bought back a 33cl bottle from Brussels. Poured into an elongated Unibroue snifter.

Cloudy and great head retention.

Smells very yeasty and spiced, with some honey.

Flavour is not very strong, but nothing offensive and no off flavours. Pretty clean in that regard. Peach and melon, accompanied by some grassy, peppery hops.

Great dry, peppery finish. Could maybe pass as a Saison.

Highly drinkable and refreshing. I'd buy it a lot if it were cheap...but not really worth seeking out.

Tall thin 330cl bottle, best before Mar 2013, poured into a Duvel glass in Nov 2011.

I managed to keep the sediment out, so the beer was a golden yellow colour with nothing floating about within, the head was poor, thin and wispy: the pour didn't help the head of course, with me being cautious trying to keep the yeast and sediment elements out. To be completely fair an island of bubbles did stay throughout the review and a full collar surrounded the beer until the end also.

Belgian yeasts and sweet floral, fruity notes from the hops (and malts).

Crisp and sharp in the mouth, a bit fizzy, too carbonated for my palate, but not unpleasant. Those sweet aroma notes carry on in the taste, this isn't bitter or harsh at all, even though it isn't smooth or rich in any way either. Lets just say it's rough around the edges in flavour and texture.

Different and interesting without being completely unusual or fantastic: I liked it, but didn't go overboard about anything.

Pours a cloudy yellow brew with a strong carbonation to it.

Smell is malty and fruity, mostly apple with a bit of spice.

Taste is sweetish and a bit spicy with a bit of tartness and bitterness to it. A worthwhile Belgian brew that isn’t a super high alcohol brew.

Mouthfeel is good.

Super drinkable, it's not a Duvel but it is close for the 84 Cents I paid for the bottle!

This beer pours a golden color with a nice big head, which disappears after some minutes.
Smell was full of coriander and honey, making the beer very fruity and spicy.
Taste was mostly honey and sweet, some liquorice and sizzling from the carbonation. When the beer warms a slight cooked vegetable taste comes through, but this is not very disturbing. Together with this taste there is also a wort-like maltiness, again not disturbing.

I liked the fruitiness and spiciness of this beer, but the sweetness make the beer less drinkable.

Bright yellow gold with a full pillowy white head, lots of suspended sediment, and very active carbonation. Yeasty Belgian aroma with fruity tripel-like notes and lightly spicy hop (?) aroma. Nice balanced yeasty, spicy, malty, hoppy (?) flavors -- a la a light tripel. Light-medium bodied, crisp and refreshing.

Very nice straight forward Belgian Pale Ale.

Appearance: pale gold, very slight haze, thick creamy layer of foam with pretty good retention

Aroma: bready maltiness, slight touch of clove and yeast, twinge of floral hops, some strawberry fruitiness

Flavor: lightly malty, a bit tangy, mellow herbal hop flavor with a smooth closing bitterness, cinnamon, yeast, dryish finish with a rather clean aftertaste

Mouthfeel: medium ligth body, zesty but fine-beaded carbonation

Overall Impression: A pretty good blond beer. Slightly wheat-beer like. Not very complex, but a pretty good all-purpose drinking beer.

The aroma is mostly floral malty with some grassy hops and barely distinguishable yeast. Taste is quite similar - soft and sweet maltiness in the beginning, maybe some caramel additionaly and nice bitter finish. Plenty of enjoyable carbonation. Aftertaste is long lasting with kind of warming feeling.

Pretty good beer, I will definitely buy some more of them

Pours a pale yellow, very hazy, although pretty smooth throughout. Off-white head that held to the bottom of the glass. Bread and a slight grassy smell on the nose. Hoppy and a somewhat sharp-sour taste, malts come through after a few sips. Clean finish, doesn't linger. Feels somewhat thick and is readily drinkable given the weight of the beer. I had to fight for my beer, guests enjoyed it a good bit too.

Good appearance, golden coloured with litle haze but nice white head up on top that lasts quiet well make it ok. Smell is litle hops, lots of malty aromes and litle yeasty smell of apricot. Taste is full malty again then finishing dry with just enough hops. Good beer( in my eyes) that I will drink again... someday.
