Taster at downtown taproom. Light, clear golden pour, small foamy head . Aroma and taste are malty, mild, but clear , crisp and full of flavor. Grainy, mildly sweet.

an easy drinking lager here with elements of a czech type pils to it, especially on the malt side, a little of that dry crackery grain. this beer overall is clean and light and fresh, and was excellent with spicy and boldly flavored tacos of many persuasions, overall this is easily the lightest and the most straight ahead beer i have had from barbarian to date, really simple, but nicely executed. clear yellow in color with a nice dense white head on it and a light light grassy hop thing, super clean, devoid of citrus essence or anything, and really predominantly flavored by the grain once i taste it, as the yeast is super minimal too, although i do get a little bit of european character to it, along with the familiar pils malt of course. this is crisp but without a big dramatic mineral taste or texture, and it has some body while still being plenty light, just a little hop bitterness helping it finish, but not much flavor here from the hops, its a delicate flavor profile with a moderate mouthfeel. its off dry though to me, minimal again, but with a little sweet element from the grain coursing through it, and maybe a little corn or something in the mash. simple and good, crafty enough for what it is, better with a spicy food context! cool they can nail something basic too, with all the high input and process intensive beers they make in here...
