cool they did this, the chalkboard menu makes it look like a molson, and the plastic cup they serve it to me in doesnt make me take it in much differently. its pale yellow beer, trying to maybe be a cheaper corn lager, but it still hits like a craft beer, seems like an all malt thing to me, nothing cheap or extracty about it, no sweetness, nothing metallic, it doesnt taste or feel watered down either, and even though they sort of make light of it in here, its obvious that this is a very well executed basic lager, something they should consider keeping around, at least for the summer, it sure went down refreshing and easy on their patio this weekend! frothy near full inch of white head on a basic looking yellow beer base, the nose is fresh with the grain a little fuller than most of these, but still dry, and with the lager yeast evident, maybe slightly european. i get some minerals in the flavor, the crisp texture as striking as any flavor element when its good and cold, a little more of a cereal malt thing as it warms a bit, earthy and only minimally hopped, beer flavored beer, but clean and real well refined. i think these guys have sort of gone all in on being the weird local brewery with the nitro cocktail sours and bizarre adjunct stouts and whatnot, ice cream beers and all that, but i am reminded here once again that they really do the basic stuff exceptionally well in most instances, and i wish they did just a little bit more of this sort of thing. i could have stayed here and put these back all afternoon on the first real nice day of spring, a perfect daytime drinker. better than molson by leagues, but you can still appreciate the inspiration...

Taster at brewery. Clear pale golden pour; frail, wispy head. Grainy aroma, biscuity. Taste is mildly sweet, bready. Clean. light bitterness at the finish. Easy drinker.
