i like that this has a little more body to it, but i found it to be pretty generic on the whole, its weight doesnt make it interesting enough for me, and while its malt driven for sure, its definitely a little one dimensional compared with the best examples of this all too uncommon style (pun!). its also lacking a little on the bubbles, but both of those comments are more about feel than flavor i know. the flavor is there, fresh cereals, a little honey sweetness, a close to irrelevant yeast strain, and a touch of bittering hops later on, its not bad, its just not inspiring, especially compared to some of the more adventurous beers in this place, they really have a lot of cool stuff happening, this seems to me to be more one for those yet unsure about craft beer, which is fine, everyone needs one. i think it could be a little cleaner too, not as crisp as the best ones are, and not as dry. overall a well made but unexciting brew, maybe a good starting point though for some, and i can respect that.
