Collaboration with Broken Strings Brewery
Milkshake IPA is a collaboration between FOK’s Master Brewer Victor Arocho and Charles Frizzell from Broken Strings Brewery in Orlando, Florida. It's brewed with azacca, simcoe and amarillo hops with the addition of guava and pineapple which gives the beer a tropical aroma. A touch of vanilla is then added to give it a distinct “milkshake” taste.

Presentation: Draft, served in a snifter.
Appearance: The thin, quarter finger head goes away fairly quickly and leaves behind a lot of lacing in patches and sheets. It's a murky, opaque gold color.
Smell: It's a strong, sweet scent of guava, pineapple and vanilla. Some hoppy aromas of pine and fresh cut grass, along with a slight floral note show up towards the end.
Taste: The fruity pineapple and guava sweetness coats the palate first. As that settles, the vanilla emerges and then a slightly bitter hop resin oiliness remains in the aftertaste as it goes down.
Mouthfeel: It's thick, slightly creamy and smooth with some crispness from the medium-high carbonation. It starts getting cloying after a while but not overwhelmingly so and that's to be expected from all the sweetness.
Overall: A very well made beer with a strong, sweet character that's very enjoyable and never gets out of control. It's very easy to drink with a great texture and aroma as well.
